Introduction to twitter and the shock that came with it!

Welcome to the first edition of this blog. This blog will be dedicated to sharing information about twitter and how you can make money on the site. I'm no marketing genius and I'm certainly not an expert on twitter. Why am I writing this blog, you ask? Because when I started on twitter in the middle of May, I was like a babe in the woods. I knew absolutely nothing about twitter. I can't describe the shock I got when I opened my account. I started following the twenty people they suggested that I follow and started looking around. I followed a few that I wanted to follow. The tweets started to come in. Here before my eyes was one of the biggest market places I had ever seen. I had no idea. I was stunned. I had heard about twitter on the news and on the Today Show, but they never said it was one of the biggest market places on the internet. The opportunity that twitter presents is astounding. Millions of people to market any product I wanted to market. What a great place this was. The problem is, only your followers see your tweets. The solution is to get more followers right? Without a question that is the answer. New question. How do you do that?
If you listen to all the advertisements I saw on the internet when I Googled that question, You would need to spend several thousand dollars to gain 10-15,000 followers. That's if you believe the ads. You know what they say about a fool and his money. What to do?
Things like this are what this blog will cover over the next few weeks. We'll do a few polls to find out what you want to know. We'll invite some the people with big followings to post on this blog, to go over how they accomplished this and give us tips on how we can too.
We'll also invite some of the people who having success marketing on twitter to post. Maybe we can even get them to give us a few free tips that will make us a little money along the way.
So hang around, check in from time to time. Who know we might make some money together.
I'll watch for your tweets and comments.
